Jodie Miles was the sole competitor at this competition to represent Shuhari-Kai on Sunday 31st March 2007 at the Rivermead
Leisure Centre Reading. Being as it was on the same day as a competition being held in Ireland we thought it might be quiet but we were wrong as it was very well attended and well run.
Jodie had 14 competitors in her category and she was won of the first up onto the mat. After coming back from injury she was ready to do her bit, Jodie received 2 round byes and then in round 3 she performed Bassai-Dai and took the win 3 flags to 0, Jodie then managed to scrape
through the next round with Annan kata winning 2 flags to 1, now the final, Jodie decided to perform Unshu and yet again took 3 flags to 0 and the gold medal.
As for Kumite Jodie received two round byes yet again but just missed out by losing her next round 7 points to 6, Jodie did manage to get to the repecharge but was knocked out again, nevertheless Jodie enjoyed the competition and was happy with her results.
