Leader Award for Steve Edwards    Shuhari-Kai's Steve Edwards was this week awarded the prestigious Jack Petchey Leadership award for his outstanding contribution to the development of the young students of Shuhari-Kai Karate Club. The Jack Petchey Leader & Achievement Award Presentation Evening was held at the London Planetarium on Thursday 18th November 2004. Celebrity guests Author Monica Ali and Casualty star Kwame Kwei Armah presented the Achievement and Leader Award winners with their medals during a gala ceremony.   The Leader Awards are given to adults who have demonstrated, in an outstanding way, an ability to encourage and motivate young people aged 11-25 in East London or West Essex. Steve Edwards has demonstrated his abilities to motivate and encourage the students of Shuhari-Kai guiding many through their Black Belt gradings earlier this year. Well done Steve, we all hope you enjoyed the evening.
