Shuhari-Kai Easter Championships The Shuhari-Kai Easter Championships held at Harold Wood, saw a magnificent turnout on Easter Sunday with approximately 50 students from all 5 Dojo's attending. There were some excellent performances from the majority of the competitors with every body getting stuck in. For some competitors like Leah Mayhew, Jordan Hodges and Dominic Costantini, this was their first taste of competitive action (although the way they performed you'd never of guessed).    The event was entertaining not least because of the supply of Easter Eggs provided by Sensei Richard Burridge, but because the each competitor had the option of competing in the next category up, which most chose to do. This led to little Ali Ayerman (8th Kyu) giving Alex Sell (1st Kyu) a run for his money chasing him round the mat, and Fred West, competing in the Adult category, charging Alex out of the area like a bulldozer.     First up was the Peewee Kumite category with Jordan Hodges taking gold. This was followed by the Intermediate category which saw Judita win gold. Gold for Alex Sell in the Brown & Above category was followed by the Adults with Wayne Burridge taking top honour. The final two events, Kata, saw Aimme Sell and Alex Sell securing gold each.   For a full set of results and more pictures click HERE.
